Le fort de Froideterre, construit entre 1887 et 1902, faisait partie de la ceinture de forts defendant Verdun. Le 23 juin 1916, lors de l'extrême avance de l'armée allemande, les troupes bavaroises atteignirent le sommet du fort avant d'etre repoussés le meme jour par une contre-offensive française.
Cette cache vous entraine sur le fort de Froideterre à la table d'orientation d'où vous dominez une partie du champ de bataille. De la vous obtiendrez les coordonées de la cache finale qui se trouve en lisière de forêt le long d'un chemin.

The Froideterre fort, built between 1887 and 1902, was part of the belt of forts defending Verdun. On June, 23rd 1916, Bavarian troops reached the top of the fort at the peak of German advance before being pushed back by the French the same day.
This cache leads you to the view point indicator from where you can see a good part of the battlefield. From there, you will get the coordinates of the final cache which is on the very edge of the wooded area along a path.
