Not too hard to get to this one (except maybe for winter). One can
drive nearly right up to it.

This cache is in an ammo box and is located in what looks like an
avalanche control area in a valley in the Tyrolean Alps. We had set
out to find a one-night camping spot near a stream or waterfall and
found this one to be quite suitable. Its not a real camping site,
and we spotted several hunters, so perhaps we were just lucky that
we were able to stay. They appear to be continuing to build
avalanche barrier walls here, so this whole area may change
dramatically. Hopefully the cache survives for some time. The name
*Verbranntes, altes Weib* translates to *Burning Old Hag* in
English. The name came from the little effigy of an old hag that we
fashioned out of tree branches and a plastic bag (for the head --
it burned quite spectacularly!). We didn't know if the campfire was
going to cause us any problems, so we kept it small. We had an
Austrian/American barbeque by whittling down some sticks and then
using them to roast a few wuerstl (little sausages) over the fire.
They were quite tasty. We also picked up some fallen trees and
began carving baseball bats from them. The wood seemed perfect for
that and we occupied some time hitting rocks around in the valley.
I was almost ashamed that after just a few minutes, my Austrian
friends were better at hitting than I was. We also found the creek
to be great for keeping the beers cold. Unfortunately, a stray rock
that I had hit with the bat knocked out one of the beers. Maybe all
cans would be better? The creek was nice and cold, still, since it
is coming from ice-melt. It made for a refreshing bath. Finally, be
careful if you're launching any small model gliders out here! One
of my friends tossed his glider from a small hill and it got stuck
about 5 meters up in a tree. It took us about a half hour to get it
back down from there.
