Geocache Description:

In honor of all the teachers in our family: Jill(2nd grade), Jeff (7th grade history), Carron (tutor), Principal Jill and Principal Jean and in Memory of Sue (high school special ed.) we present PS 1919.

This old, abandoned school is a fascinating look back in time. It's only name is "Public School 1919". There was no fancy gymnasium, art or music room, no computer lab. Just a lot of readin', writin', and 'rithmetic going on here. There may have even been the legendary hickory stick somewhere!

Please do not attempt to enter this building as it is obviously not safe. Easiest path to the cache is from the back, but don't forget to follow the path around the far side of the building and take a peek inside the front door. It is the most interesting view of the inside of "PS 1919".
