Varandas do Mar [Portimão] Multi-cache

Esta cache pretende levar-vos a conhecer uma das ultimas zonas de costa em Portimão onde ainda não há construção. A zona de João de Arens e a sua praia.
A zona conhecida como a ponta do João de Arens é constituida pela faixa de costa que vai praticamente desde a Praia do Alemão até á Prainha. É um bonito percurso que vos permite apreciar os recortes da costa, as suas ilhotas e alguma fauna local constituida maioritáriamente por aves, numa zona com alguma vegetação que começa a escassear noutras zonas da costa. A praia de João de Arens é uma pequena extensão de areia entre as falésias de dificil acesso (mais pelo facto de se ter que caminhar um bocado), muito tranquila e pouco frequentada rodeada de ilheus. É frequentemente procurada por amantes do naturismo.

Para encontrar a cache sugiro que estacionem no local indicado de onde devem dirigir-se ás coordenadas indicadas e procurar o container com as coordenadas que vos levarão á cache final. Esta cache intermédia pode ser acedida tanto pela praia como pela arriba.

É um bonito percurso ao longo da falésia que faz parte de um percurso pedestre com o mesmo nome que se inicia precisamente no local indicado para estacionamento. Se quiserem fazer o percurso pedestre podem encontrar um placar com toda a informação necessária. O percurso até á cache é perfeitamente acessivel não devendo demorar mais de meia hora a ir e regressar.
Para encontrar a cache final não tem que descer á praia pois esta está escondida no topo da falésia de onde tem uma excelente vista para a praia e para os ilheus circundantes.

This cache is going to take you to one of the last unspoilled places in Portimão coast. The João de Arens area. and beach.
The area known as João de Arens starts near the "Praia (beach) do Alemão" and ends near the Prainha beach. It´s a nice walk where you can apreciate a very nice shoreline with small islands and caves, the local fauna walking trough the vegetation that starts to be scarce in other areas of the coast. The João de Arens beach is a small beach between the cliffs, with a difficult acess (mostly due to the fact that you have to walk) , very quiet and surrounded by small islands and rocks. Due to this characteristics, it´s often searched by naturists.

To find the cache i sugest you park at the recommended spot from where you should got to the given coordinates and search for a container with the coordinates of the final cache. To find this intermediate cache you can walk trough the beach or trough the cliffs. It´s up to you.

This nice walk along the cliffs is part of a pedestrian route with the same name of the cache that starts at the parking spot. If you want to do this route you can find the necessary data on a board near the beach acess. The walk untill you reach the final cache is easy and you shouldn´t take more thant half hour to get back.
To find the final cache you dont have to go down to the beach. It´s hidden on the top of the cliffs where you can find a beatifull view of the beach and the surrounding islands
