As you walk from the suggested parking area, the view that unfolds
is probally the most photographed and sketched in Sussex.
At the given co-ordinates you will read about someone whose words
went unheeded: but this person never forgot those whose lives could
have been saved.
Read the story and note the following information that will lead
you to the cache.

I knew Les (the subject of this cache) well and also his 2 sons. He
was the blacksmith in Alfriston and he was always available for tea
and a chat. I didn't look for the cache as it really didn't seem
that important. He used to talk about the soldiers in question and
was very keen that they should not be forgotten by the succedding
generations. I think he succeded. RIP mate.
