On our recent trip to Spokane for the Cache machine, we found a cache filled with film canisters, also called O.D.S. It intrigued us to the point that we decided to start a mother cache on this side of the mountains.
This cache is that mother cache, happy to be part of the One Degree of Separation project. This project was launched to unite the entire geocaching continuum together at one point using the "Small World Theory" as it pertains to geocaching.
If even half of the nearly 13,000 caches originally released on 5/26/2006 got placed as a geocache, no geocacher in the entire world (with even 1 find) should be able to go much beyond 3 degrees of separation from every other geocacher in the world, but the REAL object of this project is to bring that number down to 1 degree for as many geocachers as possible. And as more finders create more mother caches, the number simply grows.
One Degree of Separation is a project that has been taking shape and GROWING for nearly 3 years. Thank you for participating. Please note, you are searching for an ammo can filled with about 30 seed caches. The seed caches are varying sizes, some ready to hide, some waiting for you to put tiny goodies in.
PLEASE NOTE: You are asked to post a note when you find the cache and take a seed so I can keep a count of the number of seed containers available. Please do not take a seed cache if you cannot plant your new seed within a reasonable time. You can email me if you have a time problem! And the seeds can go anywhere in the world- one is headed to Australia!
