Another good walk by Grandalf
Who wants to chase the FTF? – there’s a FTF Bragging Coin there for the lucky First – which of course requires you to place a new cache – the more the merrier.
This cache is not hard to find once you get to GZ – but you have to get there!! There are three main approaches, some of which may be blocked during lambing season. But DO NOT TRY approaching directly from the west, as there are some serious bluffs around, not to mention the gorse. The best approach is from the summit which is east of the cache.
To mention the gorse again, you will have to pass through some. However, it is only waist high, and you only need to get through about 10metres of it. I did intend to place the cache much nearer the bluffs, but thick cloud prevailed on the day, so it is now much easier to reach than I had hoped.
The cache is a 1 litre camo snaplock, with initial contents: logbook, pencil, sharpener, big dice, golfball, mini scissors, safety pins, Swiss Army knife – and of course, the FTF Bragging Coin.
