This cache is hiding in this old Stow cemetery. It's in the guise
of a 35mm film can in camouflage dress. Bring your own pen or
pencil. Please, be sure to place the cache back as you found it.
And, watch for muggles.
As in all cemeteries, please be careful, respectful, and hunt
the cache only during daylight hours.
The original cache at this location, Stow Cemetery Cache, was
muggled twice, so I asked LTRN if I could take a shot at it.
She kindly agreed. So, here's a new cache
in the oldest cemetery in Stow.
The following was take from LTRN's original Stow Cemetery Cache
listing:
"Stow Cemetery was officially established in 1859, but the first
marked burials date back to 1809. It contains the
graves of many veterans of the Revolutionary War and the War of
1812, as well as other wars. Many of the settlers of
Stow/Cuyahoga Falls/Hudson area are also buried here.
You can also see some unique iron grave markers here, including one
of the Wetmore family. William Wetmore was the
original settler of Stow, who purchased the land as part of the
Connecticut Reserve (ie. Western Reserve) that was set aside for
Connecticut residents who were displaced after the Revolutionary
War. Willam Wetmore died in 1827.
"Do you believe in ghosts? This cemetery is said to be
haunted. Happy caching!"
Congratulations to
N8LGP for the First To Find!
