Geocache Description:

Located on Roche de Boeuf rock in the middle of the Maumee River in Waterville. The rock was used as a special meeting place for Native chiefs and is now the symbol of Waterville.

Parking for the cache is located at GC9D31 Roche de Boeuf, or you can park in the Farnsworth parking lot.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS THE OLD BRIDGE TO GET TO THE CACHE

Either wade across the river or get a kayak. The water is normally very shallow, albeit the current can be a little swift. I wouldn't recommend going for this one after a heavy rain or whenever the river is high. Getting down to the river can be a little tricky, too. The path is narrow and runs along the edge of a cliff. Not terrain we're used to seeing around here, thats for sure. As long as you can keep your balance, this cache really should not be that hard.

I've hidden a few film cans lately, so this one is an ammo can. It's got plenty of somewhat useful stuff in it. The log is a Rite in the Rain log, so it should be OK to sign even if wet. And I put a disposable camera in there, too. So take a picture of yourself and the view from the rock. Let me know when it's full and I'll post the pictures.

It's a popular place for fishing and heron nests, so a little stealth may be required.
