Bývalý lom po obou stranách silnice
odkrývá teleso podmorského výlevu
tešinitových láv. Tešinity jsou
alkalické ultrabazické magmatity s velmi
variabilním mineralogickým i chemickým
složením. Zdejší lávy se
radí k porfyrickým pikritum, které se
vyznacují prevahou augitu, vysokým obsahem
olivínu a minimem živcu.
Hornina je protkávána nepravidelnou
sítí kalcitických žilek. V telese
jsou uzavreny bloky starší lávy a tepelne
premenené útržky (mandle)
zrohovcovatelých jílovcu.

This site is a
former quarry with an exposed body of undersea effusion tesinits
from an eruption of mandelstone type. The former quarry on either
side of the road enfolds the body of undersea effusion tesinit
lavas. Tesinits are alkaline (ultra-basic) magmatic pieces,
with very variable mineralogic and chemical structure. The
local lava lines up to porphyritic picrite that defines the
majority of augite, high content olivine and minimum spars.
The mineral is inwrought with an irregular calcitic fibre. In
this tesinit body are pent blocks of older lava and
heat-metamorphosed dribs and drabs (most notably, the "almond") and
cornified claystones.
