Geocache Description:

Trip up to Windsor Great Park, countryside and long views.

Traditional small cache, approx 1.3 mile walk through the Queen's park.

Many deer about during the summer, and a large copper horse as a nearby landmark with a great view of Windsor Castle and surrounding countryside. An official Royal residence for over 900 years, Windsor Castle is the largest castle in Europe and the largest occupied castle in the world.

Small clipseal container. Nothing inside but a pen and pad. Enough room for geocache coins but other travel bugs may be a tight fit. Parking at Bishopsgate Road next to the Fox and Hounds pub, near to Englefield Green.

This cache represents the End of an Era for a group of Computer Science graduates at Royal Holloway 2004-2007.

Happy Caching!

Update: 11th September 2009 Careful about leaving any TBs in this cache - we seem to have a higher rate of wandering bugs than usual. Cheers guys.

Update: 31st October 2013 - Cache has been vandalised and am not in a position to repair/move it until January 2014. Cache will be disabled until then. Thank you cachers for logging the need for maintenance.

Update: 22th March 2014 - Cache cleared out dried and repaired. Cachers are advised not to put valuable bugs in here for a while. I want to see see what happens now it's just notebook, pencils and a penny from 1971.
Please cover it back up properly if you find this cache. It was visible without digging. In future if you'd be good enough to find it I'd like this to require a bit of scraping twigs and branches away before you can see it. Please.
