Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the indicated location, but it is a good spot to park and play the game! All locations in the game are within 100 feet of the indicated location.

It took me a while, but I finally figured out how to present this puzzle as a geocache. We're going to play a game!! Note: the game itself is relatively easy. The aggravating part comes later when you try to work out the math.

Object of the game: You win if the log is in the first cache you open.

Description of the game: There are three micros: MicroA, MicroB, and MicroC. There is one container at each waypoint listed on the cache page. The log is in one of them. The other two are decoys. Each container has something written on it.

How to play:

1. Pick any waypoint listed below and find the container. All containers are magnetic hide-a-key's in the usual place. You will not have any trouble finding the containers unless you've never seen this type of hide before. (And if you haven't, you ought to be able to figure it out by examining all three waypoints.)

2. Read the statement on top of the container.

3. Decide if you wish to open the first container you picked or another one.

4. If the log is in the first container you open you win!

Rules of the game:

1. You must make your decision before leaving the first container you find.

2. If you decide to open the first container you find and it does not have a log, you lose.

3. If you decide to open another container and then change your mind after reading the statement on the second container, you lose.

4. If you leave the first container and change your mind, you must return to the first container before finding another container. Otherwise you lose.

5. You must return all micros to their original positions. Play fair and let others have the same chance you had.

Summary: Find a container. Read the statement. Decide what container you want to open. Open that container. If the log is in the first container you open, you win. Return all micros when you are finished.

Notes:

1. You don't have to win the game to log the cache. The game is simply for fun (and perhaps a little instruction). If you lose, keep opening containers until you find the log.

2. There are no prizes for winning the game. Remember, this is for fun only.

3. If you don't sign the log, you can't claim the cache.

4. If you cache with a group, everyone plays together. No fair having everybody find a different cache and then comparing notes. If you do that, you lose.

5. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! So pay attention: This is not a trick cache/puzzle/game. At no point along the way am I misleading you or lying. All statements are truthful.

6. I adjusted my in-field coordinates with Google Earth. I think I may have used the wrong shadow for Micro C. However, again, you should be able to figure out where it is.

7. The cache is available 24/7, using the usual stealth techniques. I would, however, avoid the times for recycling: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:30 to 4:30.

Housekeeping details: Let us know in your log whether you won the game and whether you opened the first container you found. If you recognize the game or the strategy, please do not say anything in your log. Let others have fun. Periodically I am going to switch the containers around so don't be calling lifelines!

There are two Sacagawea dollars in the container. One is for first to find. One is for first to win. Honor system. I taped them down so they shouldn't rattle. If you shake the container before opening it, you lose.
