This was certainly something to celebrate! On August 25,
2007 at about 12:00 noon Jim52 found this cache for his 5000th
find. The first in Atlantic Canada! We are all very proud of him
and had an event here afterward to celebrate.
The cache was put in place on June 4, 2007 in my front yard at
#157 in anticipation of a huge milestone.
As many already know, Atlantic Canada's most beloved geocacher and
genuinely nice guy was well on his way to passing 5000 find.
Not only that, he has 164 excellent hides to his name too!
So, I took it upon myself to help out and plan Jim's
5000th find for him. Unfortunately for him, he was not
allowed to find this until he had found 4999.
Then, it was all his. (The rest of us could find it whenever we
wanted.)
We were here with him when he found it.
When I hid it on June 4, 2007, Jim had 4423 finds.
I watched Jim's numbers and regularily posted notes to the cache
how was is progressing.
In less than 3 months he charged along and on August 25, 2007 he
had reached 4999 and was allowed to find this.
You see, Cher Bear had been saying for ages that she wanted to have
a shindig for the geocaching crowd. This was her big chance.
Now tha the dust has settled I am turning this into a travel bug
hotel. The container is a regular sized ammo can with small
traders, travel bugs and a log book.
This Cache was placed by a proud member of the MGA and
