Scavenger Hunt Beside a Sleeping Giant
The first stage of this cache is in Rocket Park at the Johnson Space Center. There's a real Saturn 5 rocket here -- the rocket that took men to the moon. There are also rocket displays from the Mercury and Gemini manned space programs.
Until the end of October 2019 entry to the Rocket park was open and free to everyone. To my great displeasure they closed it to you & me forcing us to pay to go through the entertainment center (Space Center Houston) to visit the rockets and do this cache. The building and display are part of the Smithsonian and this is a brazen & shameful move to funnel money into the entertainment center's coffers.
The final location is about 3000 feet (driving or walking) from the entertainment center.

This plaque is outside the building in what use to be the parking lot (where you can't park anymore). <tell us how you really feel about this change Jim>
