V Trhovem Stepanove byla nejstarsi zidovska nabozenska obec v okrese vlasimskem. Dle rabina Tassuiga byla Chevra Kadisa zalozena roku 1438. Z tehoz roku pochazela i kupni smlouva na pozemek pro tamni zidovsky hrbitov. Smlouva se v roce 1890 se objevila na vystave starozitnosti ve Vlasimi. Bohuzel byla znicena neodbornou uschovou za 2. svetove valky. Na stepanovskem zidovskem hrbitove jsou citelne nahrobky od roku 1711. Po valce byl hrbitov zcela zdevastovan. Po roce 1969 zde byla pohrbena cast nahrobku ze zruseneho hrbitova v Dolnich Kralovicich, ktere musely ustoupit prehrade. Diky finacni podpore stepanovskeho rodaka v cizine byly hroby a zed s marnici obnoveny. Diky tomu je ale v soucasne dobe hrbitov temer nepristupny.

The oldest district Jewish community was based in Trhovy Stepanov. According to the rabbi Tassuig, Chevra Kadisa was stablished in 1438. The Land Purchase Agreement on behalf of the local Jewish cemetary was dated in the same year. In 1890 the Agreement appeared at the antique exhibition in Vlasim. It was unfortunately destroyed as a consequence of unskilled care during safe keeping in the Second World War. In this Jewish cemetary the readable gravestones have been dated since 1711. The cemetery has been fully devasted after war. After 1969 several gravestones were burried here. Their were brought from the other cemetery in Dolni Karlovice, which was swept away due to water reservoir construction. Thanks to the native of Trhovy Stepanov, who lives abroad and provided financial support, the graves, the wall and the mortuary were renovated. This is the reason why the cemetery is nearly inaccessible.
