In the sport of Orienteering, the waypoints are not provided in co-ordinate format – instead the Orienteer has to rely on recognising features in the terrain. This cache is one of a series, in which I will introduce various Orienteering type features, that I hope will attract you to come and try the sport. Find out more about Orienteering at www.racorienteers.co.za
The final cache is not at the published co-ordinates, but is located at :
S26 03.ABC E27 58.DEF
Where, using a 10 digit number found at the first location :
A = 5th digit
B = 3rd plus 2nd
C = 8th plus 6th
D = 5th minus 8th
E = 5th minus 4th
F = 10th plus 9th minus 6th minus 8th minus 7th
The location of this cache is near to a public facility and is hidden in a typical rocky feature, called “bare rock” (large area of normally flattish, solid rock protruding from the gound).
