The Kilbo Path is an old drovers route stretching from Glen
Prosen to the intersection of Glen Doll and Glen Clova. This path
was also used by the Caterans - groups of cattle thieves - who
frequented these parts. Nowadays the Kilbo Path is a popular
13km/8mile walk between Glen Doll and Prosen Lodge.
Which way??? Well last time Mr TC was up here there was a signpost.
Mayar to the west - Driesh to the east. Now you will have to work
it out with map and compass as all that is left of the sign is the
post!
Great views down the Kilbo Path to Glen Prosen from here.
This cache is at the highest point of the Kilbo Path and at a
height of 835m, so make sure you are fully aware of precautions you
must take for all weather conditions. The weather can change
quickly.
Do not attempt this
cache unless you are properly equipped for walking in the Scottish
mountains.
