Geocache Description:

Somewhere in a wood in Shropshire is a doorway which is supposed to lead to Middle Earth. If you travel to the wood here, you'll find a key, and this key opens the doorway, which leads to a place in The Curraghs. So this must be Middle Earth then...it's even marked on the official map.

Well, you may be sceptical: but go ahead and try to find this cache anyway. If you can manage to locate it without magical assistance - then perhaps it's all just a Tolkien-esque story. But what if you find yourself enlisting the aid of mysterious strangers from across the sea, and looking to the trees for help, and listening for invisible birds high above the mountains, and seeking gold rings in a dragon's lair? Then you'll have to admit that there's a little bit of Middle Earth hidden away on the Isle of Man, waiting to be explored by those with a sense of adventure!

The cache coordinates given are for a useful reference point if you get disorientated on your travels, but there's nothing there to help you on this quest.
Note that both caches are close to a footpath: not more than three metres. As this is an important reserve for flora and fauna, please be careful to stay on the obvious trails. The microcache is in view from the path: you just need to stop and look. Please replace in similar fashion.

Many thanks to MNH for granting permission, and to MarkandLynn for the "co-operation" idea.
Many thanks too to manxrose who has kindly adopted the cache in Shropshire.

The final cache is a smallish container so don't bring large swaps. Original contents included a geocaching Dragon (please leave in the cache), a geocaching keyring, an RSPB butterfly, a frog, an Evil Micro pin and two gold rings (for first and second to find). After restocking, there is also a cornucopia of dragons, frogs and the like.
