This cache is placed by a fishing hole in the Snake River below Swan Falls Dam.The fishing hole is known as the"guest Hole".Legend has it a huge sturgeon dwells in this hole.The name given to this monster is "Ol' Cheyenne".It is rumored that Ol'Cheyenne could be 11 ft or more in length and has lived here for decades.when the new turbine was installed in Swan Falls Dam It is said that Idaho Department of Fish and Game would not let Idaho Power alter the course of the river so The guest hole remained in it's natural state,thus insuring that "ol'Cheyenne"would remain in this hole.Many sturgeon fishermen have claimed to have hooked into this fish but there are very few pictures of it ,,if any.
Some night-time campers have heard some loud thrashing on the surface late at night and believe it is "ol'cheyenne"frolicking on the waters surface.When you are above this hole look at the water and maybe you will get a glimps of this legend.
