The first in a series of three caches at Anchor Bottom.
Anchor Bottom has been designated Open Access land and is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The area is rich in wildflowers including several orchid types and you can find many butterfly species here including the Adonis Blue and Meadow Brown.
Suggested parking in Dacre Gardens. Access to Anchor Bottom is via a kissing gate at the northern end of the street, but you will need to duck underneath a barrier first.
I suggest you visit this cache first; a fairly easy stroll with a gentle climb along the bottom of the valley. However, if the cows have not been grazing the grass can get quite long particularly in the "bowl". Also, be aware that near the cache site there are rabbit holes obscured by the long grass - watch out!
The container is a plastic clip-box and contains half the coordinates for Anchor Bottom: Orchids.
