Rice Bridge Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Cache U Nutter: As previously stated, This cache will be archived and replaced by a slightly different but still challenging cache nearby.
The constant flooding of the site washed the cache away on at least 3 occasions and even though the latest was tethered by a wire leash, the power of the current washed it away.
Farewell then and remember some classic logs such as tjapakuai loosing his rag and iantoo falling in !!

Geocache Description:

Potentially this is a seriously difficult cache. Particularly in either high water conditions or when the surfaces are wet.
Please note you do this cache entirely at your own risk. The cache is not in a position where you should have to swim to reach it, but if you fall off........
You will need to be a strong swimmer as well [ref: Ian Too's log notes] Please do not rely on your GPS to get you to the cache, it will only get you to the Bridge! and GPS accuracy not good around here anyway.

The cache is an old glass jar containing a pencil, pen and log book.
It could contain small T.B's
The container is secured by a piece of chord to the structure. You will need to unwind the chord from the container to enable you to access the contents from the top of the river bank.
When you return it please ensure that you rewind the chord and place the small stone against the jar. This is required as the water level can get quite high around here and previous containers have been washed away.

Parking is at Wonham Mill off Trumpets Hill Road, from where you could also search for 'Hamish, have ye seen ma tablets recently?' [GC105Q9]
You may well get wet and muddy looking for this cache so dress accordingly.
And remember, the water around here is deep.
