From Timbaki or Mires, go to Sivas then follow Listaros, continue till Odigitrias Monastery. There, you'll start the hike (20 km total) or off road ride. Follow Vathi-Kefali (remember greek caligraphy of those names).
Where pirates reached the shore
At the WP N 34°56.657 E 024°45.855 you may go right to "Treasure of Vathi", or left to "Kefali Monastery"(that you can combinate with this).
Best is to start with Kefali and finish the day on the beautiful beach of Vathi (27 km total).
This is also reachable from the sea, and surely even nicer hunt.
