A nice 4x4 ride ***, or a severe hike (20Km) ***** to the
southest peak of Crete
From Timbaki or Mires, go to Sivas then follow Listaros, continue
till Odigitrias Monastery. There, you'll start the hike (20 km
total) or off road ride. Follow Vathi-Kefali (remember greek
caligraphy of those names).
At the WP N 34°56.657 E 024°45.855 you may go left to "Kefali
Monastery", or right to "Treasure of Vathi" (that you can combinate
with this).
Best is to start with Kefali and finish the day on the beautiful
beach of Vathi (27 km total).
Climb now to the monastery on the top of Kefali (who means
"head")(see picture "Monastery on top of Kefali") Visit this
beautiful place, take a deep breath and screw your pet. Maybe the
windiest place we seen in Crete. Thanks for coming.
