This cache has nothing to do with ticks, we just wanted to tease The Chick a bit! Note: The best way to get to the cache is to leave the main trail at these coordinates: 34 06.234, 118 59.365. This will provide the easiest and least intrusive way in.
How can anyone put a worthy tribute cache together for the Princess of Swag, the Theme Queen, THE Chick? Campy and The Fish started thinking and planning and trying to come up with ideas over a year ago in the hopes that when the time came to celebrate Monica’s 1000th find, we’d be ready. A year isn’t long enough unless of course you happen to BE Monica! In her short time caching, she has wowed us all with her insanely perfect and clever cache hides full of the coolest stuff you’ll ever find on the trail. She contributes more than most to Geocaching not only with her numerous swagged out hides but also with her efforts to volunteer on projects, to plan group events, to support others just getting started in caching, and to encourage others to reach their milestones. And, of course, she’s always willing to test, solve, or help solve a puzzle cache! (It’s pretty nice to be one of her good buddies!) But, Chick, this cache and the others hidden nearby are all about you, baby! We can’t put ‘em together as well as you can, but the effort and sentiment is sincere. We are proud to help you reach your first of many milestones you will undoubtedly reach! Your accomplishments are big and admired and it’s time to celebrate, girl! You know someone had to hide a cache for you in your favorite color, so here it is! You are not that same girly girl you were a year or so ago - you are fierce in your hiking and in overcoming challenges! If you’re not careful, they’re going to induct you into the Girly Man group. In fact, this cache will remind you of the one you helped hide for them not long ago. Girly Girl, Manly Girl, Girly Man groupie - however you define yourself, pink is most definitely YOUR trademark color. This cache is all for you and hidden in a spot hand picked by more than one of those girly guys. They know you look much better in pink than they do. CONGRATULATIONS!
