La regina delle Dolomiti, il salotto alpino d'Italia: è Cortina d'Ampezzo, cuore geografico e turistico delle Dolomiti e di tutta la montagna veneta. Cortina (1224 m) si distende nell'assolata conca ampezzana, raggiungibile da ogni direzione attraverso magnifici Passi, quali il Falzarego, il Giau, il Tre Croci.
L’Osservatorio Astronomico del Col Drusciè sorge sulla cima del colle che sta ai piedi del massiccio delle Tofane, a 1780 metri di quota. Gli fanno da contorno le fantastiche cime dolomitiche della conca ampezzana: Tofane, Cristallo, Sorapis, Antelao, Cinque Torri, Croda Rossa, Pomagagnon, solo per citarne alcune. Il paesaggio, la limpidezza del cielo e la comodità di accesso (solo 15 minuti di auto da Cortina), sono i requisiti principali che orientarono i soci dell’Associazione Astronomica Cortina a sciegliere il Col Drusciè come sede del loro osservatorio.

If people start talking about the ‘Queen of the Dolomites’, what they’re actually referring to is Cortina d’Ampezzo, which hosted the Winter Olympics in 1956. The natural surroundings of this charming Dolomites venue are incomparably beautiful.
