Vinodolski zakon - Das Vinodoler Gesetzbuch - The law of Vinodol -
Iznad mjesta Belgrad, na zaravni 250 m strme litice ostaci su nekadašnjeg grižanskog grada - kaštela Grižane. U frankopanskom razdoblju kaštel Grižane bio je važna strategijska tocka u Vinodolu. Prema sacuvanim ostacima vidljivo je da je grad imao oblik nepravilnog cetvorokuta, s okruglim kulama na uglovima. Grad je oštecen u potresu koji je zadesio Vinodol 1323. pa je vjerovatno današnji izgled dobio vec u XIV. stoljecu. Do prije nekoliko godina ostaci zidina kaštela su još odoljevali vremenu. Danas, nakon što je prije nekoliko godina cijela južna strana skliznula sa stijene i pretvorila se u gomilu kamenja u podnožju, od njega je ostalo još manje.

The settlement Grižane is situated under vertical rocks - "griže", which are overarching it. The wider area rich with water and cultivable land and sheltered by the mountain, was inhabited in as early as the Bronze and Iron Age.
Above the town are situated the remains of former castle Grižane, at a terrace of a steep 250 m high cliff. In the period of the Frankopans the castle Grižane has an important strategic position in Vinodol. According to the preserved remains it is evident that the town had an irregular square shape, with round towers at the corners. The town was damaged in the earthquake which occurred in Vinodol in 1323., so it probably got its present look already in the 14th ct. Just several years ago the remains of the walls were still resisting the time. We have even less left today, after the whole south side glided from the rock and turned into a cluster of stones.

Vinodolski zakon - hrvatski pisani popis obicajnog prava iz 1288. god. - može se s pravom staviti uz bok drugim europskim opsežnim srednjovjekovnim pravnim dokumentima pisanim na narodnom jeziku, npr. anglosaksonskim (601 .-925.), Ruskoj pravdi (XI. do XIII. stoljeca) i Sachsenspiegel (XIII. stoljece). Vinodolski je zakon pisalo povjerenstvo sastavljeno od predstavnika devet vinodolskih opcina, koje je u ime opcina i kneza kao "feudalnog" gospodara popisalo pravo koje se u vrijeme nastanka Vinodolskog zakona primjenjivalo u Vinodolu.

Eines der wichtigsten Kulturdenkmäler unserer Völker und auch eines der bedeutenden mittelalterlichen Dokumente Europas ist das Gesetzbuch von Vinodol, eine reiche Quelle von Angaben über das alltägliche Leben unserer Vorfahren. Die Verfasser des Gesetzbuches von Vinodol haben danach getrachtet, den Leibeignen und den Mann aus dem Volke vor Übergriffen der Feudalherrschaft und besonders der Gerichte zu schützen. Ein besonderes Merkmal des Gesetzbuches von Vinodol ist, dass es von einer "Kommission", zusammengesetzt aus Vertretern von neun Vinodoler Stadtgemeinden: Grobnik, Trsat, Bakar, Hreljin, Drivenik, Grižane, Bribir, Ledenice und Novigrad (heute Novi Vinodolski) verfasst worden ist.
Die Vertreter dieser Städte traten am 6. Januar 1288 im Kastell des Fürsten Frankopan in Novigrad zusammen, vor dem Fürsten Leonard Frankopan. Sie zeichneten die alten Rechtsbräuche auf, die im Fürstentum Vinodol angewendet wurden, weshalb das Dokument das Gesetzbuch von Vinodol genannt wird.

The Law of Vinodol is brought in during the reign of the Frankopans, in 1288. It is one of the most valuable historical and juridical documents. It is written in Croatian language and in Glagolitic alphabet. The Law is composed by a special commission which was selected between the representatives of nine castles (county districts) of Vinodol, by the assembly of inhabitants of Vinodol. It is about the law which primarily protects interests of feudalists. The Law of Vinodol comprises innovations in different branches of law: administrative law, penal law and process law. It is an important monument of the old Croatian common law, and at the same time it reveals the process of feudalisation in Croatia and provides evidence of the high level of social development of Vinodol area in the 13th ct.

P.S. Es ist nicht nötig, zur Ruine hochzukraxeln - es gibt einen bequemeren Weg dorthin. Die vier **** beziehen sich lediglich auf die letzten Meter bis zum Cache. Der Weg zum Cache ist ** /
Nije potrebno penjati se po ograncima - postoji prilicno jednostavan put do rusevine. Parkirajte kod groblja, put ce vam se pokazati sam. Cetiri **** se odnose samo na zadnje metre pred cache!
Do not climb across to the ruin - there is a quite good path to the cache. The four **** mean only the last 20 m to the box!
