Can be done from Princetown as part of the Princetown-Yelverton railway. Alternatively park at N50.31.194 W004.01.939.
The Plymouth and Dartmoor railway opened in 1823, but did not get as far as Princetown until 1826. The terminus at this point was behind what is now The Railway Inn. It was built principally to serve the nearby granite quarries. The stretch between Princetown and Yelverton later became a branch line of the GWR, and ran until 1956.
Ingra Tor Halt was famous for it's "Beware of the snakes sign"
Cache is located in a small clip lock box on the edge of spoil heap, and overlooks the site of the old Ingra tor Halt.
