Esta cache está colocada na Paisagem Protegida da Arriba Fóssil da
Caparica, numa duna alta de onde é possível apreciar a paisagem em
todas as direcções.
É um belo local, por onde passam poucas pessoas e onde ainda se
podem encontrar muitas espécies botânicas raras e características
da zona. Como se vê em todas as direcções, podem-se apreciar
bonitos nascer do sol sobre a Serra da Arrábida, o sol a pôr-se
sobre o mar e as estrelas e diferentes constelações quando está
escuro.
Mais especificamente, pode-se observar:
- Norte - Lisboa, Almada e o Cristo Rei;
- Oeste - o mar e a Serra de Sintra;
- Sul - o Cabo Espichel e as praias da zona;
- Este - a Herdade da Aroeira e o campo de golfe Aroeira 1 em
primeiro plano, a Serra da Arrábida ao fundo e as localidades
intermédias (como Seixal e Palmela).
A primeira cache tem vista privilegiada para sul, a cache final nas
outras direcções.
Como os trilhos da zona são todos em areia, recomendamos que as
bicicletas fiquem também na zona de parque recomendado (atem as
mulas a uma árvore ou poste). E é claro, como é uma área protegida
não é permitido a circulação de veículos motorizados.
Por favor tenham cuidado para não espezinharem toda a vegetação e
para não serem vistos a retirar o container final.
O conteúdo inicial da cache final é:
- Log book, lápis, afia e stash note;
- Mini telescópio - aproveitem para apreciar em pormenor as
diferentes paisagens;
- Vários presentes para troca - animais e objectos relacionados com
o mar; um planeta e várias estrelas que brilham no escuro;
- Geocoin e TB.

This cache is located in “Paisagem Protegida da Arriba Fóssil
da Caparica”, a natural reserve, in a high sand dune from
where you can enjoy the view in every direction.
It is a beautiful place, where you won’t find many people and
where you can still find several rare botanic species from the
area. As you can see in every direction you can enjoy breathtaking
sunrises over the Arrábida Mountain, the sunset over the sea, and
the moonset, the planets, the stars and the constellations after
dark.
Specifically, you can see:
- North - Lisbon, Almada and the “Cristo Rei”
monument;
- West - the ocean and the Sintra Mountain;
- South – the Espichel Cape and the beach line of the
area;
- East – “Herdade da Aroeira” and the golf course
Aroeira 1 right under the dune, the Arrábida Mountain on the
background and the different places in between (like Seixal and
Palmela).
The first cache has a great view to the south, the final cache to
the other directions.
As the paths of the area are all sandy, we recommend that you leave
your bicycle on the recommended parking area (tie them up to a tree
or a post). And of course, since this is a protected area motorized
vehicles are not allowed.
Please don't spoil the vegetation and be careful when retrieving
the final container in order to avoid being seen.
The initial content of the final cache is:
- Log book, pencil, pencil sharpener and stash note;
- Small telescope - use it to enjoy the details of the scenic
views;
- Several presents to be exchanged – animals and objects
related with the ocean; a planet and several stars that glow in the
dark.
