In observance of Rotary’s100th anniversary, Rotary International, who is known for “The Four Way Test” asked each Rotary Club to perform a worthwhile community Project.
For years just about everyone in Quincy and everyone who traveled through Quincy commented about the ugly the old car dealership. Many of you probably made similar comments.
The Quincy Rotary Club received permission to clean up the lot, paint the building and to paint murals of Quincy’s history on the building. The murals caught on and several high school student and church youth groups painted additional murals on the walls.
Several business in town thought the murals were a great idea and painted murals on their businesses. After enjoying Rotary Art, visit The Club, The Moose, The Senior Center, Les Schwab and Gardensque to view additional murals.
Interesting, once the old car dealership was cleaned up and the murals were painted; Micro Soft, Yahoo and Intuit all decided to construct Data Centers in Quincy. Great art work attracts great companies. (LOL) I wonder if they’ll paint murals on their buildings! There is certainly a lot of room for a great display.
