Too Tall John: Well, reports are true!

The land is under new management, and they seemed pretty unwilling to offer open permission for cachers to come up the mountain. Apparently there's more to the story, but to get into it on a cache page... Suffice it to say, this cache is coming down, as is Blackheart Joe's Lair. [xx(]

Geocache Description:

This multi cache ends on the property of Mount Madness. This multi-use park in Ossipee has a lot to offer: ATV trails, skate park, terrain park, hiking, river tubing, paintball, even lodging! Park in the main parking lot while at Mt. Madness.

I approached this from the parking lot of Mt. Madness, going up the same trails as for "Blackheart Joe's Lair." There is a trail suitable for serious off-roaders, but I don't have enough information about the road other than to say it starts on Gilman Valley Rd. Bushwhacking from "Lair," you'll come to this trail. Follow it to the cache area. As soon as I get maps from the folks at Mt. Madness, I'll post directions from Gilman Valley...

The views on the way up and the views you'll find surrounding the cache are pretty spectacular! Feel free to explore the various trails wandering around, but STAY OUT OF THE BUILDINGS!
