Arboretum Krtiny se nachází u silnice mezi obcemi Krtiny a
Jedovnice. Založeno bylo v roce 1928 profesorem
tehdejší Lesnické fakulty Vysoké školy zemedelské v
Brne Augustinem Bayerem. Rozloha arboreta je 23 ha, zabírá louky
kolem potoka, prilehlé cásti lesních svahu a soucástí je i rybník.
Evidováno je zde 800 taxonu drevin, z toho je pres 200 druhu,
krížencu a kultivaru vrb, což je jedna z rarit této
unikátní sbírky. Nejvzácnejší drevinou, se kterou se vnímavý
návštevník muže seznámit je pajehlicník preslenitý
(Sciadopitys verticillata), pocházející až z dalekého
Japonska. Pro poucení je k dispozici naucná stezka Domácí dreviny,
osazená informacními tabulkami o každé predstavované drevine.
Estetika arboreta je vhodne doplnena více než 25 drevenými
sochami a sousošími, které vytvorili studenti Lesnické a
drevarské fakulty MZLU v Brne pri porádaných socharských
sympóziích.
Otevírací doba - 2011:
- Den otevrených dverí - ve dnech 28. - 29. 5. 2011 od 9.00 do
17.00 hodin,
- Den otevrených dverí - ve dnech 8. 10. - 9. 10. 2011 od 9.00 do
17.00 hodin,
- v období 28.5. - 9.10. 2011 otevreno vždy v sobotu od 10.00
do 17.00 hodin
Na uvedenych souradnicich naleznete vchod do arboreta a na prave
strane velkou kovovou desku s textem.

Cache je od vychoziho bodu vzdalena cca 130 metru.
Doporucuji naplanovat odlov cache tak,
aby jste mohli navstivit i arboretum. Je moc hezke.

The arboretum of Krtiny is situated near the road connecting
village of Krtiny and village of Jedovnice. It was founded in 1928
by Augustin Bayer, professor of the University of Forestry of Brno.
The arboretum covers the area of 23 ha which consists of the grass
fields along the stream, forest slopes and pond. This unique area
contains 800 wood species taxa, over 200 are species and hybrids of
willow. The most special wood species which can be admired is
Scaidopitys verticillata, originated from Japan. There is also a
nature trail Country wood species bordered by many information
boards to learn more. The area of arboretum is enriched by over 25
wooden single statues and groups of statues made by the students of
Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University of
Agriculture and Forestry of Brno.
Opening time - 2011:
- open day – 28th -29th May 2007 - 9 am – 5 pm,
- open day – 8th - 9th October 2007 - 9 am – 5
pm,
- from 28th May till 9th October 2011 is open every Saturday from
10 am to 5 pm.
The entry to arboretum you will find on the coordinates. On the
right side of the entry you will also find a large metal plate with
the text.
