A straightforward cache which provides lovely views. In clear weather, the ridge of Portsdown Hill stands out against the South Western skyline.
Suggested parking is at the Eastern end of Walderton village at N 50 53.424 W 000 52.508
Please park considerately to avoid upsetting the locals.
Alternatively, there is plenty of parking at the Western end of the village near the junction with the B2146.
A pleasant walk of about 0.4 miles leads to the cache. Terrain is mainly chalk with flints and does not get too muddy even after heavy rain.
You may like to spend 15 minutes looking around Walderton village. Its not that large a place but there are some pretty cottages set against a riverside backdrop.
The pub is definitely worth a visit since it serves excellent food and beer. It even allows muddy dogs into the bar!
