This is another of our DAT box
micros hidden near the bike trail bridge across the Cuyahoga
River. Just open along the obvious clue on the cache.
Although the bridge at the cache crosses a fairly straight part
of the Cuyahoga River, it does tend to be very "crooked". The name
for the river comes from the indigenous tribes of the region. They
called this winding water "Cuyahoga" which means "crooked river" in
the Iroquois language.
This one is not for kids unless they are under adult
supervision.
This is a park and is only open during daylight hours. The bike
path is paved and is generally not too busy so muggle traffic
should be light. The surrounding area is low and can flood at times
so access may sometimes be limited.
This can be approached from the Silver Lake side by parking near
the baseball field behind city hall. You could also park in
Waterworks park on the other side of the Cuyahoga River and
approach from there. It's a nice ride or walk from either place but
the Waterworks Park side is closer.
