Geocache Description:

This is a two-stage multi-cache. At you first stage, you will be looking for a small container which holds the coordinates to the second and final stage. The final stage is an ammo can.

Park near the trailhead (N 42° 19.692 W 088° 15.484) and walk in until you find yourself having to make a decision. Ignore the arrow on your GPS for a while and go right about 50 feet until you see the trail head into the woods. When you are about 100' (.02 mile) from the first stage, and the cache is straight south, you should leave the trail and head to the posted coordinates.

On your way to the second stage, get back on the same trail and continue in the same direction you had been hiking. Follow the meandering trail a few hundred feet until you come to some water. At that point you can look for a game trail to follow until you are within 50' of the final.

It is the second stage that warrants the terrain rating. As you approach the final, you may encounter some primitive conditions. There can be water at times and the undergrowth can be quite a challenge. You may find yourself on hands and knees at some point while hunting this cache.

This cache has been placed with permission from the park superintendent. He explained that, several years ago, the park district made an effort to establish trails in this area. He asks that we use these trails as much as possible.

You will enjoy this if you like rock 'n' roll!
