Pri lovu této cache se dostanete do obce Hvozd a okolí. Na lov doporucujeme dobrou viditelnost a pomucky mladého skauta, které Vám usnadní orientaci a pohyb v terénu a pomohou pri rešení záludností lovu.
Obec Hvozd leží na okraji rozlehlých Manetínských lesu. Nachází se zde stavby lidové architektury a u cp. 37 smírcí kríž. Jižne od obce je pri turistické znacené trase sloup s krížem ze 16. století se dvema vytesanými sekerami na pamet souboje dvou drevorubcu o ženu. Rodákem je Václav Marík (1902 – 1942), vedoucí kontrašpionáže ve Vladivostoku, spolupracovník proslulého dr. Richarda Sorgeho. Pri velmi dobré viditelnosti mužete odtud shlédnout vrcholky Šumavy, Ceského a Bavorského Lesa. Rovnež dobre jsou videt kopce v Brdech a v okolí Plzne.

Village Hvozd is on Manetin Forest-side. There are folk architecture – houses here and a peace crucifix near by House Nr.37. Southly from village on a hike marked walk there is a column with a crucifix from the 16.th century and with two carved axes on memory duel two wood-cutters about a woman. Václav Marík (1902 – 1942) was born here – later headman of kontraespionage in Vladivostok, co-operator of celebrated dr. Richard Sorge. By very good visibility you can see from here the hills of Bohemian and Bavarian Forest and the hills of „Brdska vrchovina“ and of Plzen-neigbourhood
