How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Yes, you know who you are. This cache is for all First to Finders.

When that new listing pops up you feel that undeniable urge to grab your GPSr and fly out the door. I thought that if we have an addiction we might as well have a cache to celebrate it.

It doesn't matter if you have hundreds of FTFs or you are seeking your first one, everyone is invited to be part of the gang.

To find and log this cache you must first be "First to Find" on another cache that was published on or after the date this cache was published.

There are a few simple rules:

  • Your log must contain the waypoint GC # of the cache you were FTF on.
  • Traveling caches do not qualify.
  • Caches where everyone is considered First to Find do not qualify.
  • Shared First to Finds are OK.

All logs that do not follow the rules will be deleted.

This cache is a challenge cache and is classified as a mystery/puzzle cache so cachers won't be able to find and log it accidentally using a downloaded pocket query or just the coordinates loaded into their GPSr. The coordinates above are for parking.

The cache is hidden at:

N 43 05.353
W 085 37.849

You are looking for a plastic gallon jar. This cache isn't about challenging hides or pretty views. It's all about the FTF!

Congratulations to Team Desert Eagle and Bearlookin4cache on the shared FTF for this cache. Nice picture too!
