Double Dog Dare Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

PNWWizard: As we were nearing the cache site we heard an awful noise: 3 Super Cobra helicopters armed with Hellfire missiles!! I don't know what they saw, but when they were done firing the cache site was just scorched earth. We salted the earth and moved on. This cache had a good run despite the many disappearances. Thanks to all who were brave enough to accept the dare!!

Geocache Description:

You're looking for a small plastic tube.

The difficulty rating on the cache refers to the fact that it is placed on the site of an old Army training base. I've been told by reliable sources that there are still some unexploded land mines nearby! Also as you'll find out as you seek the cache that there are other hazards as well. It's ok to bring children to the cache, while you're on a paved road you're safe from everything but hunters. Once you get off the road you should walk single-file and check the ground in front of you for hazards.

Be sure to read the info in green on the log sheet, it contains info you'll need to get out safely.

The fact of hunters in the area is very real, so it would be a bad idea to dress like a pheasant!!

The closest spot to park is:
N44 41.211
W123 13.097

If you want a longer hike park in one of the pull-outs along Camp Adair Road.
