This is a trail that takes you to three North Essex churches to find clues to the reference for the cache that is just over the border in Suffolk.
Cache Reference: N 51 XY WZ8, E 000 48 6RV
The Stour Valley Path goes through the graveyard of the first church which are the start coordinates shown. Look for the two double graves with the 'appropriate' surname. W & Z are the last two digits of the year of death of the youngest person plus one.
In a church yard 4.2 km to the south find Edith who had three roles in life. Subtract 20 years from her age to get R & V.
At a church a further 2.4 km south south west and find out how old George was when he fell asleep – X & Y.
Now you must retrace your steps to the North, park the car/bike and take a short walk down a rather muddy track to find the cache.
When you are close to the cache a drainage pipe passes under the track. Trees can make GPS signal difficult -- cache is down hill, north of main path.
