Nice easy terrain part of the Cumbria Way long distance path. Our nearly 2 year old grandson walked 95% of the way up (albeit a bit slower than we would normally go!)but was carried back to the car.There is space for a couple of cars at the following grid ref, NY24910 32362, just past Peter House Farm
The cache contains an optical illusion jigsaw puzzle, fishing tackle, key ring, hand warmer, Travel Bug plus a few other swaps, contained in a lock lock type plastic container. If you carry on up the path you will eventually reach Skiddaw House Bunkhouse (Affiliated to the YHA)due to re-open in the spring of 2007. Fantastic walking/cycling area.Although 6 readings were taken on the day the cache was placed and an average reading was used, the cache is in a slight hollow so the readings are as accurate as we could get given the conditions and the accuracy level on the day. So bear this in mind (visit link) is a useful site to use in conjunction with the geocaching site, better maps.
