Zaros is a village about 50 km south from Heraklion. It has a beautiful small peaceful lake and a view to Psiloritis mountain which is breathtaking. There we decided to place our first cache. It is near to a roman tank. First you arrive to the parking of a small hotel where you can park your car. Then you find the road which is going to the cache. At the start of the road is a huge olive tree. The cache is about 250 m from there. You may continue your road to the monastery, it is a great walk.
