Ölandsbron invigdes den 30 september 1972 och var under en tid Europas längsta bro.
Bron är 6072 meter lång och har en segelfri höjd på 36 meter med en högsta höjd på 41,69 meter och lägsta höjd på 6,65 meter. Den är byggd av armerad betong i 155 spann varav högbrodelen i 6 spann om 130 meters spännvidd.
Den är fortfarande Sveriges längsta bro trots att Öresundsbron är längre totalt, men den del som befinner sig på svenskt territorium är kortare.
Eftersom det är FÖRBJUDET att stanna, parkera, cykla och gå på Ölandsbron ligger därför gömman på Öland.

The Öland Bridge, which was inaugurated on 30 September 1972, is the longest in Sweden and one of the longest in all Europe. The Öresund Bridge linking Sweden with Denmark is longer overall, but the part on Swedish territory is shorter. It is 6072 m long, supported on 155 pillars and have a vertical clearance of 36 m for shipping. The highest point is 41.69 m and the lowest is 6.65 m.
Since it’s FORBIDDEN to stop your car as well as biking or walking on the bridge, the cache is placed on Öland. You’ll find the cache under the bridge 3000 m from the WP with true bearing 133 degrees.
