Stredoveky hrbitov neznameho stari byval mimo hrazene mesto, jizne od namesti Svobody, mezi ulicí Na valech a mestskymi hradbami. Po vypovezeni zidovskeho obyvatelstva z mesta v roce 1454 vsak zanikl. Roku 1804 nasel na tomto miste Frantisek Pokorny starozitne zidovske nahrobky, z nichz nejstarsi ma letopocet 1334. V roce 1929 zde byly nalezeny nahrobky dalsi. Dva z nich jsou dnes zazdeny na domech c. 9 a 13 v ulici Na valech, dalsi jsou ulozeny v mistnim Jihomoravskem muzeu. Novy hrbitov, ktery se nachazi 2 km severne od stareho hrbitova, u rozcesti silnic do Primetic a do Unanova (u Mestskeho lesika), byl zalozen roku 1868. Uprostred hrbitova byly ve zbudovane pyramide roku 1869 ulozeny kosti vybrane ze stareho hrbitova. Nad vchodem byl napis "Zde je rise rovna chudym a sluha svobodny pred svym panem". Obradni sin byla vsak zborena nacisty. Pohrby zde probihaly ale i po 2. svetove valce. V soucasne dobe jsme svedky likvidace tohoto hrbitova - hrbitov ma byt zmensen a na zbyle casti ma byt zrizeno lapidarium z cennejsich nahrobku. UPOZORNENI Ukryt se nachazi pobliz frekventovane silnice v zatacce a tak chceme apelovat na obezretnost, obzvlast na deti, ktere by mohly vbehnout do vozovky! **************** [EN] Mediaeval cemetery of unknown age used to be outside border of the town, south from "namesti Svobody" square, between the street "Na Valech" and town´s walls. But it was destroyed after deportation of Jews from town in 1454. Frantisek Pokorny found antique jews tombstones, the oldest of which is from the year 1334. Next tombs were founded in 1929. Two of them are walled up in the street "Na Valech" (house No.9 and No.13), others are saved in local museum. New cemetery is placed 2km northward of old cemetery by crossroads to "Primetice" and "Unanov" (near the town woodland). It founded in 1868. Above entrance was writing: "Here is imperium equal poor and servant free before his monsieur." But ceremonial hall was destroyed by occupants. At the present time we are witnesses of liquidation – this cemetery will be smaller. ABOUT CACHE Cache is placed courageously, but if you keep covering, the cache would be resist. Look good around before you get in / out cache. Drive in by car or bicycle - here is taken a bicycle way No.126. Don't construe the wall or get into cemetery! NOTICE Cache is hidden near frequently road on the turn and children could be run into the roadway!
