Ze vsi pochazel zemansky rod Vrabcu z Ricek, jehoz prislusnik Vaclav se pripomina poprve v roce 1475, kdy vlastnil majetky v Jehnedi. To je soucasne i prvni pisemna zminka o Rickach.
Udaje o tom, ze by Vrabcove meli v Rickach i tvrz, chybeji. Povest vsak vypravi o hradku, ktery mel stat na kopci jihovychodne od vsi v poloze nazyvane "Zelena zaba" a ktery mel byt sidlem spravcu majetku panu z Doudleb. V uvedenych mistech vsak zadne pozustatky opevneni ani staveb neexistuji. Hradek nad Rickami tedy patri zrejme jen do sfery povesti.
Jedna z povesti: Majitel navstivil spravce tvrze a dostal se s nim do sporu. V naslednem souboji se vzajemne probodli. A obcane Ricek na tomto miste zasadili tri ovocne stromy, mistni odrudu svestky, zvanou Ricka. Ricky jsou mimoradne sladke, maji zlutooranzovou barvu a nejdou od pecky. Uvedené souradnice vas dovedou na naves obce Ricky. Stojite pred domem c.p. 26 (č. 26 na červené cedulce na plotě vedle dveří , č.p.13 na mapách) – byvala hospoda U Standiru, spocitejte okna v pruceli domu – A.

Pozor, na miste zvanem Sibenice nekdo pridelal cedulku ke studance a napsal na ni Zelena zaba. Od skutecne Zelene zaby je to pres 1 km. Prava Zelena zaba se nachazi na konecnych souradnicich teto multiny.

Vaclav was from clan Vrabci from Ricky, he was firstly mentioned in 1475, when he owned some holdings in Jehnedi. This is also first remark of village Ricky.
Remarks about fortress in Ricky belonging to Vrabci are missing. But there is a legend about little castle, it is said that it was situated on the hill, southeast from the village in place called “Zelena zaba - Green frog”. According to the legend, this fortress was held by lords from Doudleby. There are no remains of the fortress or castle in this place. Therefore historians think the castle is only a legend.
