High above the historical unoperated Rattlesnake open pit uranium mine.
The road up to this one requires a high clearance vehicle. 4X4 may be needed. This virtual cache is placed at a great lookout point where one can see the town of La Sal in one direction, and look down into the open pit of the Rattlesnake mine in another. Looking to the north you can see the La Sal Mountains and to the south the Blue mountains. On a clear day one can easily see the Henry mountains to the west. Travelling to this cache you will see a couple of no trespassing signs, The road you are travelling on is a county road. Do not go off this road so as to respect the rights of the land owner. Enjoy.
